Areas of Focus

Build More Housing

I’ve been endorsed by pro-housing organizations and am committed to building more housing at all income levels. In 2022, I served as campaign manager for a citywide housing measure, Affordable Homes Now San Francisco (Yes on D). Growing up, my family experienced economic dislocation and lost our family home. I understand how important it is for San Francisco to address our affordability crisis by creating a more abundant housing supply.

If elected to the DCCC, I will endorse candidates and policies that create housing for all income levels; address our affordability crisis and reduce the displacement of families and individuals; and modernize our byzantine permitting process and antiquated zoning laws. I am pro-housing because I am pro-people!

Ensure that San Francisco is a safe and vibrant city

We shouldn’t have to worry about our safety when entering a store, crossing the street, or walking into a town square. I’ve been endorsed by leaders who prioritize public safety. This past summer I organized a Revitalize Downtown SF public forum to understand how community leaders propose balancing clean and safe streets with economic development.

The drug and overdose crisis and out-of-control behavior on San Francisco streets demand new solutions. We have to provide treatment services to those who are suffering from addiction as well as pursue legal action against drug dealers. We need a fully staffed police department, give them the tools they need to be efficient, embrace community ambassadors, and activate local solutions.

As a second step, I support investing in commercial corridors and community spaces so that small businesses are supported. And shop locally! The Noe Valley Town Square and 24th Street are wonderful models to learn from.

Create more opportunities for women

I am supported by organizations that uplift women and center all voices, and I am passionate about leveling the playing field for women. I earned a master’s degree in public policy from Berkeley with a focus on labor; and later served as a policy consultant to both One Fair Wage and ROC United, which advocates on behalf of service workers – the majority of whom are women. My research on service fees in the restaurant industry served as the groundwork for state and federal action to reduce hidden fees which were driving down tips and confusing consumers.

I believe women are an underserved population locally and nationally, and if elected to the DCCC, I will support policies that serve to address healthcare disparities and lack of care for our aging population. Lastly, as a mom, I know the importance of electing women leaders and serving as a good role model!
